Curtis Pouncy, Wood Artist

Curtis Pouncy has been working with wood since he was a child. He has always loved the look and feel of fine wood and has chosen wood as his medium to express his art.

Pouncy prefers to use no stains or paints on his pieces. He loves the look of the natural wood grain and is amazed at the array of natural colors available in the many different kinds of wood.

Pouncy has worked in many different styles and with many different pieces. He enjoys making furniture, jewelry boxes, and decorative objects. He does wood carving, wood burning and inlay. He also likes to add handmade handles to his pieces, carved of wood or made from naturally occurring minerals.
